About Amado Atelier
Dear Community,
I am honored to be the third generation of a family of jewelers whose story began in 1953 with my grandfather, Jose Amado. He was a brave and resilient man who, with little more than a small workshop and big dreams, taught his five children the art of crafting jewelry, not as accessories, but as pieces of soul and legacy.
I grew up with the hum of the workshop as my childhood soundtrack. While other children played with toys, I was familiar with pliers, wire cutters, and soldering tools. I watched my father shape gold into delicate forms, patient and precise, dedicating his life to creating small pieces of art that carried meaning far beyond their sparkle.
That passion has never left me. Today, I carry forward this heritage not only with reverence for craftsmanship but also with a responsibility to the world in which we live. At Amado, we work closely with sustainably mined gems in Muzo and Coscuez, Colombia, lab-grown diamonds, and responsibly sourced and recycled materials, so that every jewel honors both the beauty of nature and the dignity of the people who bring it to life.
For me, jewelry has never been about trends. It has always been about stories — about helping you encapsulate your journeys, your milestones, your sentiments, in pieces that can be passed down, just as my grandfather passed down his craft to us.
Every Amado jewel carries within it the courage of José, the dedication of my father, and my promise:
✨ to create pieces of timeless beauty,
✨ to honor people and planet,
✨ and to help you celebrate the story that only you can tell.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your most cherished moments.
With love,
Laura
